Partner Tom Foley has recently begun a series of lectures at the Nassau County Bar Association entitled the “Business of Law.”
The focus of this series is on small firm attorneys or newly solo attorneys who need assistance setting up and running a law firm. The first lecture, held in July along with co-panelist Gary Port, Esq., discussed the practical considerations of setting up a law firm. Attention was paid to the location of the office, staffing, equipment, and good business practices.
The next topic in the series will be entitled “Managing your time.” This lecture, given by Tom and matrimonial attorney James P. Joseph, Esq., will train attorneys on how to better manage their time in the face of mounting pressures of running one’s own practice. To register for the September 24th lecture, please click here.
So far the series has received great reviews from the attendees.
